Meet the Social Worker

Maggie Jacob, MSW RSW (she/her)

Maggie is a Social Worker with 10 years of experience in the area of mental health. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work from Western University, a Master of Social Work from York University and is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (Registration #826404). She has experience working in community and hospital settings providing clinical assessment, discharge planning and crisis intervention. Maggie also works with a police mobile crisis team.

Within practice, Maggie utilizes various approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. She will work alongside you to deepen your understanding of your thoughts, empower you to make positive changes in your life and develop effective strategies for coping with anxiety, depression, and stressors in your environment. Maggie has completed her Gottman Couples Therapy Level 1 and Level 2 and is passionate about helping couples improve the health of their relationships.

She is genuine, kind and compassionate. Maggie strives to create a therapeutic space free of judgement and full of hope.

In her free time, Maggie enjoys going for hikes, searching for the best ice cream shop or spending time with her partner and their Bernedoodle, Luca.
